Here’s a few of our most asked…
A: Most of our packages include 2 videographers and each wedding is filmed with the same number of crew members utilizing the same film techniques. The Lead Videographer generally spends the morning filming the Bride’s preparations while the 2nd shooter covers the Groom getting ready and establishing shots. All videographers come together for the ceremony where there are 3 cameras filming. At the reception, 2 cameras film the main events continuously. More than 2 cameras may be employed depending upon the scope of the event, circumstances and package option selected.
A: We strongly recommend it. Having multiple camera operators allows us to place ourselves around strategically to capture things as they happen naturally. We do our best to make ourselves inconspicuous to your guests.
A: Think of the Wedding Film like a mini movie. This is what you will be amazing your friends and family with. We offer two versions of this Wedding Film (a 12-15 minute version and 15-20 minute version). The Highlight Video is a roughly 5 minute recap of the day. Think of it like a shorter version of the Wedding Film. The Reception Edit is a video of the main events at your reception (grand entrance, first dance, speeches, etc) placed back-to-back and edited between different angles.
A: We have a very cinematic style of filming and we try to capture everything as it happens. 95% of the time you will never hear us say anything to you. We are doing our best to be a fly on the wall. Most of the time you won’t remember we were even there (which makes us sad), but there will be a few times when we ask you to redo something (just like a photographer would) to make sure we have the shot. We are hired to make your wedding video the best it can be, so sometimes a small request can go a long way in making that happen. But to be honest, most clients will say they don’t remember us at the wedding at all.
A: Of course you expect cameras. We use a mishmash of cameras and equipment to capture your day. For the most part, we use DSLR cameras, which allow us to get away with a lot more than with the large, obtrusive, in-your-face, shoulder-mounted cameras of the past. These DSLR cameras are the same ones your photographer uses, so they look like photo cameras. They are small and we can fit into tight places. Guests can’t tell the difference between us and your photographers, so they never feel self-conscious about being filmed (because they have no idea). As long as everyone feels comfortable, that’s ok with us!
A: To have a film made of your destination wedding outside of the immediate US area, we simply charge the price of our collections plus travel and 3 nights lodging for 2 people. The cost of airfare will be rolled into the total price as we would prefer to handle the booking of flights ourselves. Lodging accommodations can be booked at your preference as long as transportation to and from the event site is included as well.
A: Yes we do! But because of the complexities involved with producing Same Day Edits, the cost of these are not cheap. It’s a great way to have something instantly after the wedding while you wait for your Feature Film. Please note that we do not provide a way to view the film or hear the sound. Because producing the film is our primary focus, you would be responsible for the visual screens and a sound system. Many DJs and wedding reception venues now offer this amenity. Our Pricing Sheet will have the current price of Same Day Edits.
